An extended drought here in our area of Mid-America, has killed countless shrubs
and even trees, at this writing. Beautiful lawns have lost their charm, and the frozen ground says "wait til spring
to do anything." Replacing them will be a huge job, with years needed to get the trees back to the size of those lost.
But did you know that Jesus himself said that by faith, these plants could be uprooted and cast away?
I hope you won't think it's odd of me, but I have great
trouble, applying the faith that Christ speaks of. I'm from a lifelong Christian family and have seen healings right
in my own family, but I still have the problem of knowing that He can heal, but not knowing that He will.
You may recall with me, how Jesus said that whosoever shall say
unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that
those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith!(Matthew 11:21).
And this thought continues as Christ talks of the mustard seed
(Matthew 17:14:20), the mulberry tree (Luke 17:6) and the fig tree (Matthew 21:21). And these aren't even religious needs!
Yet, I've seen my Dad healed from cancer...he had gone down to the church altar and knelt to pray, as is a custom in
many churches, but had to be helped up after praying...then was completely healed by the time he got back to his pew! And
my brother, Jerry, was healed instantly of a terrible back problem, after suffering for years, when a lady minister came to
his home and prayed for him. He was working with me at our radio station, and had been unable to come in, but that Sunday
night, he said, "I'll be at work in the morning!"
With all that, I repeat; I know that God can, but I can't have the faith to know that He WILL answer
my prayer of healing for someone. If He would give me my choice of Biblical gifts, it would be to have the gift of healing.
I already have a list of who I would go to first, and I realize that from that moment on, I would have no private life, with
persons following me constantly, to receive healing, but I would be willing to give up my "freedom" to be able to
help like that.
But who, today, has
a gift comparable to that of Christ! Who could survive being thrown into a furnace, or a lion's den, or a whale's
stomach! You can copy the verses I named earlier, at this website, www.billthorntonconquests .com This article is saved
