I heard this when I was a kid and never forgot it. An old man said, "How can God
love me when He doesn’t even know me?" And someone answered, "He loves you even though He knows you."
It’s true. He knows you even better than you know yourself. For example, how many hairs do you have
on your head. God even knows that! "Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before
God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows."(Luke
12:6-8). And if you think that’s something, how about this: "He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them
all by their names!" (Psalms 147:4).
And look on down to 147:8. Have you
ever thought to yourself, how nice that God made clouds? The blue sky is beautiful, but what an addition when the various
kinds of clouds come up! And if you haven’t flown, you should see a cloud cover from up above, like God sees them! That
entire Psalm 147th is about the nice things God has made for all of us to enjoy. Bad and good, youth and old; all get
these blessings. Small wonder that the next chapter, 148, is all about praising Him. In fact, the last four chapters of Psalms
are all about praise to God. And the last verse in the Psalms says, "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord."
How many of us remember to point out to our children,
all the beauties of nature and other things that God has done for us. A couple of amusing things come to mind that will point
out how children need to be taught these things and who created it all for us. One youngster said, "Why don’t they
invent a phone that’s tied to the wall so you won’t lose it." Another saw someone laying cards out on a table
to play some solitaire, and he said, "Wow! They’re even making real cards like on the computer!"
Teach your children about God and His Son, Jesus Christ. That should be so deep in their hearts that they
won’t be swayed by school teachers, especially in our colleges, who are not believers and want all of to be that way.
Pity and Pray for them.
