If you're into retirement age, you know by now that there are two kinds of tears--those we love and those we hate.
I don't like the "hate" word, because it can hold nothing but bad. It spells accidents, divorces, sickness, and the worst of all--death. That's the one that won't turn loose. It brings tears that are uncontrollable, and the face of the victim shows a sorrow that can't be hidden.
But thank the Lord, there is another kind of tears that make life worthwhile--the kind that reflect the ones that the fortunate enjoy; reminding us that there is good in this world, too.
And there's a promise from God that there is a Heaven where, as I've said in earlier Conquest articles, that if any tears are there, they'll be tears of joy. In that Heaven, there's no place for sadness. I suppose the word "death" isn't even in Heaven's vocabulary. Tears come to me easily, and after my wife moved there, I prayed for soothing tears, and God answered.
And Heaven is so easy to claim! Just accept the fact that Jesus is the Christ; the Savior who shed His blood on a cross as a living sacrifice to erase all memories of your past sins, large or small. With that, you're ready to live for Him. That's your ticket to the paradise that Jesus said to the man on a cross beside His, "Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise (Luke 23:43), Christ wouldn't have gone with him to some "waiting place." And where it says in Revelation 2:7, "to the one who conquers, I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God." Also, Paul the Apostle tells of being caught up into paradise in 2nd Corinthians 12:4.
And remember to thank Him for every happy tear you shed.
