One More Soul
I may have mentioned this phrase at another time, but it sticks in my mind now. A rich man was asked what he wanted next, and he said, "One more dollar." That smacks of selfishness…unless that person is putting his or her richness to good use, helping others less fortunate.
Personally, I like the term "one more soul," for the website the Lord has made possible for us. By "us," I mean his providing the ammunition, and my firing it, in a manner of speaking. And by that, I mean that the Lord gives me the subject and brings the scriptures and thoughts to mind and I type them, hoping they may reach a lost soul and bring him to the Lord.
Someone may say, "one more? What's the real and lasting good in that?" But they miss the point. First, to save even one person from a burning, everlasting hell, is wonderful, but if that person then uses his life as a testimony and reaches others, it can spread like a wildfire. You may have heard how the saving of a shoe clerk developed into thousands being saved, some becoming ministers themselves, bringing even more to Christ, including one named Billy Graham, who happened to be the only one saved in a revival during his youth.
Second Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." We've all heard of instances where a person was on the verge of suicide, when some thing or someone caused a new thought to enter their mind, and they were saved. Think what a difference, eternity is going to be for that person! One more soul is a good place for you to use your Christianity to change someone, and the time is now. Do it.
