Surely the happiest persons in Heaven, are those who were blind here on earth. We who have sight, have no idea of darkness day after day and night after night…never seeing, or even knowing how to imagine a sunset or a romantic full moon.
I believe I've talked to you at sometime, about two men sharing a room in a rest home, and one of them was blind. But the man nearest the window would, day after day, relate to the blind one, what was going on in the park across the way. He tells of the little ones wading in a pool, and a birthday party on a shady place, and a dog chasing a ball his master had thrown. And the blind man lived on the happiness he drew from his friend. And when the man near the window died, the blind man asked to let his bed be there. And only then did he find that the view outside was of an alley and a brick wall.
The only way this story could come to a happy end, would be for the blind man to have given his heart to the Lord Jesus, and when he left this world, that he went straight to Heaven, with a brand new body that would never know pain, nor sickness, nor fates like the terror of blindness.
How can I convince you that nothing you give up here on this earth, can be compared to the happiness of Heaven. If you have family or friends who have gone on ahead of you, they're waiting, along with the Lord Himself, with open arms. How can you compare the time you have left here on earth, to forever and forever, in Heaven. And making that your eternal home is as simple as telling the Lord you want to live His Way. What's so wrong with living right! Be the nice guy or girl. It's a pleasure you can stand. www.billthorntonconquests.com
