Requested But Not Demanded Sin
Had you ever thought about it…that sin is allowed, but not demanded, either by law or by personal requests. Many church denominations disagree, although if all would agree, we could control our government. We could guide congress in passing laws that would agree with the Bible.
And new congress persons would stick to the promises they made to get elected. But as it is, it only takes one term for them to see which side their butter's on…"vote for the bill I'm sponsoring, and I'll vote for yours." And when both a president and one side of Congress are of the same party, the bill is going to pass or fail, according to that side's wishes. And today, the majority is not in love with Christians, nor God, nor the Bible.
The only consolation for Bible Believers, is that a number of public notions are on tap, like same sex marriage and abortion, would be allowed, but not demanded by law. Congress seems to admit that maybe there's a "God," but not a "Jesus Christ." And that it should obey public majority, not the Bible. And believe me, the public majority is for freedom for abortion, but not for freedom of speech or religion. There's a list.
And check this: When a nation goes against God, the Lord may choose to bring a plague on it, and Christians will suffer the consequences, right along with the sinners who caused it. Does virus come to mind? But that's how Christians got their name; by trusting the Lord and bearing up. Hate the sin, but love the sinner. Love and forgiveness is your role.
If you haven't given your heart to Jesus Christ, do it now, so you'll have Him to help you. That makes your side, a majority.
