To Scare, Or Not To Scare
These statistics are from the past year in the U.S., and are from a graph, so the figures can be off a few thousand. But in these amounts, a few thousands are nothing. The virus killed around 360,000, but it was in third place. Cancer had by far the most deaths; around 650,000. Stroke, 175,000...diabetes around 100,000, and something called "septicemia" which the Google says is an infection of our muscles. it caused around 25,000 deaths.
I'm not going out to dare the statistics to get me, but these figures do cause wonder. I think it's because it came so quickly, all around the world, and that we were totally unprepared. In winter, you can expect the flu to take its toll, but this virus thing had no rules. Ages are making some differences, but I simplify it, by just calling it "the virus." I don't care what number it is, I just want to stay healthy, so I'm obeying the strong requests, to not allow visitors. Have you ever heard the term, "cabin fever?" It's caused by the same symptoms they've fed to me. Stay in, and stay lonesome.
Thankfully, I have someone to talk to. It's the Lord, and I talk aloud to Him, because I know He's here. And it's two-way, because although He doesn't speak out loud in my case, but He puts the thoughts in my mind. This definitely works. If I come up with an idea for one of these Conquest articles, but have trouble coming up with the wording, I know that He's not in it. And I've had cases where I wrote an article, but "something" would gnaw at me, telling me some statement wasn't just right, and I study the subject, and sometimes destroy it, maybe because it could cause confusion or argument.
If your conscience bothers you, ask Him about it. He uses that, you know. 180 bt 02-04-21
