My Dear People...no doubt every sermon during this time
will speak of the most terrible type of death that can be
imagined--the crucifixion. And I must tell you, that as I read
of that time, I have to touch on the highlights and get on,
even wanting to skip it entirely, it hurts me so.
And so will you forgive me, if I talk about the wonderful
part of that time; the Resurrection! I've discussed how
Jesus gave His life blood to move us into the New Way
that forgives our sins and puts us on the road to
Heaven...how He left all the false religions behind, to be
the One and Only True God, to give us the only way for us
to escape satan and his hell. You realize, of course, that
without Jesus being resurrected and is our Savior forever,
our Christianity would be just another religion, like Hinduism,
Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Judaism and Islam. If our
Leader was dead like theirs, we'd just another name in on a list.
And that's just one more reason that I dread talking about
crucifixion, and dwell on Christ,s Resurrection.
Here are some words from a version of the Bible: In John 11:25-26,
Jesus said to her (Martha, sister to Lazarus), "I am the resurrection
and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though
they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
Do you believe this?" And in Mark 16:6, Jesus said, "Don't be
alarmed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.
He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him."
We'll never see such love as Jesus did, in dying for us. One of my
sayings is that "He died for me; I'll live for Him." If you'll do that,
you'll be saved from an eternity in hell, and a Heaven beyond our
imagination. Talk to Him. Now.
